Movember Canada
Movember Canada are constructive change agents that provide funds for men’s health research, lead the dialogue with and for men to live with and beyond prostate and testicular cancer, and improved physical and mental health outcomes for men. Our annual Close Shave fundraiser shows support those efforts. This night-long event is filled with amazing talent and fundraising activities. To date The Dandies have raised over $2,000 for Movember, including Dale’s stellar Selleck stache.

Rainbow Cinemas (Fresh Air Fund)
rainboxcinemaEvery summer, Market Square Rainbow Cinemas hosts a midnight marathon (five or six movies) to raise funds for the Toronto Star’s Fresh Air Fund. The fund sponsors 25,000 children for a summer camp experience. The company donated to our Close Shave fundraiser last year and it has stayed active in community since its inception. We are pleased to help the company in its causes. We raised $250 in 2014.

Daily Bread Food Bank
daily-bread-food-bankWhen the weather was right, we have tried to drum up support for Daily Bread Food Bank with our silly Snow Angel Fun Raiser. Sadly, Toronto does not get much snow so we are looking for other events to generate interest.

Second City Training Centre
let-the-music-playDale is a regular guest of the bi-monthly musical improv jam, Let The Music Play, hosted by phatt Al and Matty B. The show gives new performers a chance to pair up with experienced musical improvisors and play confidence-building games.
