When it comes to nerd comedy, it can be hard to find family-friendly options. That’s why it never surprises us when parents reach out to ask if The Dandies’ shows are family-friendly. So…
Are The Dandies nerd comedy shows family-friendly?
The short answer is: sometimes. The Dandies pride ourselves on creating nerd comedy shows for all kinds of audiences. In order to do that, we tailor our shows to the location, start time, and audience. For example, our shows for the upcoming Festival of Wizardry will be family-friendly, but a late night Holodeck Follies performance might not be.
Bringing your kids to a show and worried it won’t be family-friendly? Drop us a line! If it’s possible to keep the show family-friendly, we will and, if it’s not, we’ll let you know and will advise you about future shows that might be better fits to bring your kids to.
What’s the difference when The Dandies nerd comedy shows are family-friendly?
Like most companies, we keep our family-friendly shows as clean as possible. We avoid swearing, sexual content, and aggressively violent acts. We should warn you, though, that some of the fandoms we deal with have scary content. For example, when we do Hogwarts Follies, Larry Otter may end up facing down He Who Should Not Be Smelled! Our general advice is to approach our family-friendly shows in the same way you would the fandom source material, bringing the same level of parental guidance.
What doesn’t change in The Dandies family-friendly nerd comedy shows
No matter what type of show you come to, we promise the same level of fandom inspired nerd comedy! So, even if you don’t have little ones, don’t worry about coming to a family-friendly show. You’ll be laughing so hard, you won’t even think twice about it!
