Holodeck Follies – Spontaneous Star Trek
On Friday, August 11, 2017, come to Toronto’s west-end for a night of Star Trek comedy and air-conditioning before heading out to the plethora of food, beer, and music sampling festivals around town.
The Dandies boldly go where no one has gone before: Holodeck Follies – Canada’s only Star Trek parody for Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike! The Dandies improvise a new Star Trek episode based on audience suggestion and interaction.
“Ujilli Chillin At The Lake” (August 11, 2017 – S5E7)
Captain Rihoho Xerc brings the USS Hummingbird home to Qo’noS to help solve a diplomatic issue caused by a Klingon leader looking to return to older ways.

“Holodeck Follies is one of the funniest shows in Toronto!” – Space Channel
Can’t join us this month? We’ll have five shows at Fan Expo Canada (Aug 31 – Sep 3) to celebrate our third year at Canada’s largest fandom convention.
PREVIOUS SHOW RECAP (USS Sundress – S5E6, July 14, 2017)
The crew of the USS Hummingbird had to work against time and the robot civilization on the surface to escape unscathed and perhaps harvest some of the planet’s dilithium-rich core.
We were joined by:
- Stand-up comedians Meg MacKay and Courtney Gilmour. Huzzah to Courtney who just co-won the Homegrown Comics award at Just For Laughs 35 as well as the ComedyPRO pitch competition.
- Comedian-actor Claire Mc’Connell (Star Trek: Discovery) had a cameo in the improv set as the despotic robot overlord of a dilithium-rich planet.
- Stand-up comedian Hisham Kelati who shared his ongoing mission to reconcile how he and his girlfriend feel about Star Trek to enter the domestic neutral zone.
