Save the date: June 1st – Holodeck Follies

We’re Back! Holodeck Follies returns to Social Capital Theatre on Wednesday, June 1st!

Comedian Daphney Joseph (Coko & Daphney, stand up) will take the helm as the evening’s host. Daphney is a great friend of the show and I am glad that she was available to join us.

To start the evening, we have a new show component – Star Trek: Assignment Mirth. Six improvisers will compete in a last-person-standing contest to be evening’s newest red shirt aboard the USS Albatross. Performing in this inaugural version: Dan Bryan Rosen, Keenan Mak, Mark Kalzer, Michelle Carey, Mitch LeBlanc, and Robert Murphy.

Our variety performer is Trekkie-loving comedian Hisham Kelati.

Hisham Kelati is a Toronto-based comedy writer and stand-up comedian, who has written and produced sketch shows for the Ottawa Fringe Festival and Toronto Sketchfest, and currently produces “Joke Marmalade” – Toronto’s best (and only) joke-writing workshop!

As a natural storyteller, Hisham’s penchant for wild and fantastical stories is only rivalled by his love for cardigans! If you’re a fan of relationship (mis)adventures and long-winded jokes about Star Trek, he’s your guy!

And then strap yourself in for another improvised Star Trek episode with The Dandies!
Admiral Jason Zinger – musical director
Captain Velvet Wells – Tachyon Field
Commander Andie Wells Q T’pi
Chief Security Alan Leightizer – Guy Guyson
