March 5th – The Mutables – Benefit show for Sketch and Improv Day

The Mutables – Audience-created improvised super stories

Comic book superheroes come alive as The Dandies tell improvised super stories based on audience suggestions. They will also get the audience to help in creating new heroes, new superpowers, and new fearsome foes on the spot!

Heroes for the ages… all ages!

March 5th, 2 p.m.
Admission: $5 at the door
The Social Capital (154 Danforth Ave., 2nd floor)

I am running this show on a Saturday afternoon for three great reasons:

1. I’ve known about Sketch for some time and wanted to help them with their great cause. This all-ages show seems a natural fit to start contributing to their fundraising efforts.

SKETCH mission:
SKETCH creates opportunities for young people (ages 16 to 29) living street involved, homeless or otherwise on the margins, to experience the transformative power of the arts; to build leadership and economic self-sufficiency in the arts; and to cultivate social and environmental change through the arts.

2. Celebrating International Improv Day. What a better way to introduce new people to improvisation than an all-inclusive, interactive show.

3. This is a preview of things in the works. I am bursting to share more details but we all need to be patient!
