Season 2, Episode 9: Who Replicates The Replicators?
As a noted event in The Toronto Star and blogTO, The Dandies and Friends delighted the audience at The Social Capital Theatre again on Wednesday. The all-male crew of the USS Albatross (the women were on away missions across the quadrant) made Trekkie puns and sang in three-part harmony about duty, smells, and other vaguely bawdy topics.
The non-Trekkie portion of the night was also an enjoyable adventure. View the photonic lifeforms.
- The Con Artists shared a preview of some of the sketches they are working on for their graduate show on October 4th at Second City. All four sketches had the audience in stitches but I could see both “Bonnie” and “Taxi” on YouTube or CBC’s new Comedy Coup
- Our feature performer, Zabrina Chevannes, showed up dressed to the nines, in full Guinan regalia. She was both appalled and pleased at how much she looked like Whoopie Goldberg. When she is telling jokes and stories, time flies by unnoticed. Zabrina dealt with our first ever heckler in a way that entertained the whole audience, including the heckler. She joins us again for our Movember fundraiser, Close Shave 3, on November 1st.
Thanks again to both groups and to our loyal fans whose laughter keeps the USS Albatross flying.
Our next Holodeck Follies is three weeks away, on October 1st, 2014. Don’t miss it!
“[T]his improvisational comedy show will delight Trekkies and non-Trekkies alike.” – John K. Kirk
