Being able to reach out to your betters and, if their schedule allows, getting them to perform with you, is one of many nice things about the improv community. Such is the case for Paloma Nuñez and Nigel Downer.
While I’ve watched both performers for a few years, and been in a couple of scenes with each of them, at a recent Second City Training Center Diversity Nights, all three of us we were able to play together. I remember getting sage advice from Ashley Botting (another improv impressario and Second City mainstage performer) that the next stage in my development would be to play with more experienced performers at every opportunity.
Paloma and Nigel are both wonderful actors having graced the theatre and improv stage and the small screen. They are expressive, funny, smart, down to earth people who I am looking forward to getting to know better so I can gush even more.
On February 5th, watch as the Star Trek neophyte (Paloma) and the aficionado (Nigel) work their magic as special guests aboard the USS Albatross for our second Dandiversary.
